Robotic dinosaurs and dragonfly's… welcome in a controlled world of technology that will control YOU!
Remember Jurassic Park?…Do the really what us to get used to the idea that they will walk among us?
And you thought that the reaper and the predator were the only drones in this world?
Think again man….you fucking live is already being controlled by drones from the moment you got that radio controlled airplane!
M.I.T. is creating A.I for our future sky-net that will be controlled by IBM.
Big Brother is watching YOU!
The robotic dragonfly that can perform astonishing acrobatics (and can even be controlled by your mobile)
- 17.3-inch long dragonfly drone can flutter through the air in any direction, and even hover, just like its biological inspiration.
- Four carbon fiber and foil wings beat up to 20 times per-second
At just over 17inches long, it may be a little larger than a real-life dragonfly, but this new robotic version is just as nimble in the air, its creators claim.
The dragonfly drone can flutter through the air in any direction, and even hover, just like its biological inspiration.
Called the BionicOpter, it is controlled from a mobile phone, and could be sent into difficult to reach situations.
Festo, the firm behind it, says the four carbon fiber and foil wings beat up to 20 times per-second, propelling it through the air as if it were swimming rather than flying.
With a wingspan of 63 cm and a body length of 44 cm, the artificial dragonfly weighs 175 grams.
Just like its model in nature, the BionicOpter can fly in all directions and execute the most complicated flight manoeuvres.
The BionicOpter’s ability to move each of its wings independently enables it to slow down and turn abruptly, accelerate swiftly and even fly backwards.
‘This unique way of flying is made possible by lightweight construction and the integration of functions: components such as sensors, actuators and mechanical components, together with open- and closed-loop control systems, which are installed in a very tight space and matched accurately to one another,’ said Dr. Heinrich Frontzek of Festo.
‘This means that for the first time there is a model that can master all the flight conditions of a helicopter, a winged aircraft and even a glider.
‘Despite its complexity, the highly integrated system can be operated easily and intuitively via a smartphone.’
The BionicOpter’s can move each of its four wings independently, as well as control each wing’s amplitude, frequency and angle of attack.
Including its actuated head and body, the robot exhibits 13 degrees of freedom, which allows it to rapidly accelerate, decelerate, turn and fly backwards.
In total, the BionicOpter’s wings are actuated by nine servomotors.
