British Journalist and Media Commentator Nick Pope Weighs In

By Maria Anna van Driel, www.nexttruth.com

Our sincere apologies… we have tried to enhance Mr. Pope’s interview as much as we could. We have no clue what it was that was creating the interfering on that particular day.
Below the written version of Nick Pope’s interview for you to download while listening to the TNT-Podcast.

Since the dawn of civilization humanity pondered over the question of where we, as a species, will go and what will happen when we get there. But it was not until the 19th century that we realized that we had the technology to do great things and to expand beyond the limits of our own imagination. https://youtu.be/HGWCVqsQjN8

If you think that some technologies from Star Trek seem far-fetched, think again.    Many of the devices from the acclaimed television series are slowly becoming a reality. While we may not be teleporting people from starships to a planet’s surface anytime soon, we are getting closer to developing other tools essential for future space travel endeavors.

But where does this particular knowledge about these advanced technologies come from?  Do extraterrestrial beings exchange this information via a yet unknown form of communication what vibrates though your whole body… a form of brain-to-brain communication creating holographic images in the mid-brain?

Or is there something what is that logic and common, many of us never thought of being a plausible answer to why our species feel this almost uncontrollable urge of applying A.I. to our existence?

UFO expert Nick Pope was, from 1991 to 1994, an employee at the British Government’s Ministry of Defense (MoD) where he was working on real-life X-Files. He has discussed the subject on numerous TV shows, and written news stories and features about conspiracy theories (including tie-in publicity material for the second X-Files movie, and extensive material for truTV’s Conspiratorium), covering topics that include JFK, the moon landings, 9/11, UFOs, and many other conspiracy theories – some well-known, others less well-known. Currently he is a freelance journalist and media commentator, and is, by the media, called “the real Fox Mulder”.

To become more familiar with the work of British freelance journalist, UFO expert and former MoD employee Nick Pope visit his Website www.nickpope.net or read the highly interesting summaries of his books via www.amazon.com

Welcome Nick, I appreciate the time you took for letting us peer behind the scenes in your journey as a former MoD employee, a media commentator, freelance journalist and author of several books.

The Next Truth: You have been asked this question probably a millions of times but, how did you gained your nick-name “the real Fox Mulder”?

Nick Pope: This was a joke that the British media first started. When it was revealed that I was doing this job from the Ministry of Defense (MoD) and when the British Government began to declassify and release some of it UFO files, one of the journalists, I cannot remember who, wrote an article about me and my UFO work for the British Government and made this comparison, ‘Well, Nick must be the real Fox Mulder working on real life X-Files.’

It must have struck a cord with people because they started repeating this and I started being printed in newspapers and magazines. At first I thought it trivialized my Government work but then I though, ‘No, you can’t be too pressures about this and just go with the joke.’  It’s good fun and that is how it all started.

TNT: With most people, when they hear your name, they automatically relate you to UFO’s, extraterrestrial life-forms and secret documents but you are also a freelance journalist. What influenced you to leave behind the MoD and step into the world of journalism?

NP: When I took early retirement from the MoD and again, this was in the same time as the British Government was releasing a lot of the files and documents relating to my old job, many journalists contacted me and wrote features about me and my Government work.  Somewhere along the line one newspaper must have said to me, ‘We like to write you the articles in your own words.’ So write the articles as yourself or as an opinion piece.

Many journalists and newspapers noticed my writing style and quite liked it and I got asked to write some more. People initiated me to write about UFO’s and other mysteries and about conspiracy theories too so; I started broadening the subject that I wrote about. I like writing the articles myself because this way I can be 100% certain that all the information is in it correct.

TNT: How did you got involved with the MoD? I mean, the moment that you stepped into that particular world?

NP: Well, my father had been a senior Government scientist. He was an aeronautical engineer but, as he became more senior in Government, he stopped doing hands on science and became a manager of scientific programs. In fact, he ended up as the deputy chief scientific advisor for the MoD. We used to have a joke that the MoD was the family firm and he said, ‘Why don’t apply to join the family firm? The work is very interesting and varied.’   He said, ‘It doesn’t as much as if you where working for the private industry, but…’ he said, ‘you find the work more interesting and you will find the subjects you are dealing with that are those sorts of things that you see on the television news in the evening. And if you want to be a part of something interesting and important, and work for your country, then you should consider in applying.’

To me that sounded fascinating! I applied and I was accepted. And in the course I have served for 21 years as a civilian employee in the MoD. I had, I think, 7 completely different jobs; I mean, I was involved in many different subjects ranging from financial policy to the counter-terrorism. So, as you can see, the MoD is a huge organization. But it is the UFO job that I am best known for.

The Next Truth edition of September 2020, Out Now!

Can We Unravel the World of (the) Death?

Do we perceive ‘time’ as it actually exists or is our brain deceiving us for what is real and what is not? Can we switch our lives, or biological existence, on and off without losing our awareness of what is happening around us?

From prehistory to this day, we have been haunted by our memories, the past itself, by inklings of the future, by events playing outside our lives, and by ourselves. Hence the lure of ghost stories throughout history and presumably prehistory. Science, many say, has been a great destroyer of myth and superstition, but over time scientists have, among others, created new black boxes, aka film camera’s, which we are filling with our ghostly imagination.

One way to look at the myriad realities you can hop in and out with full awareness is to imagine the world as a book case. As far as you can see …trillions and trillions of books, which are standing on an equal amount of shelves, some are thick, some thin…some with multiply colors while others might look dark and dull.

Walking along all these different books while running your finger across the backs, every now and then one of them draws your attention. Why? Perhaps by its shape or bright colors or, perhaps, it has fallen from the shelve. Regardless why that particular book is drawing your attention, you carefully read the cover following the summery on the back side. You read the first pages…absorbing the information presented by the text written. Instantly it is dragging you into this foggy state of a new reality or better said; the agreement in where we experiencing an idealistic or notional idea of ‘things’.

Did our brain found a brilliant technique to slow down and speed up time?

Another way to imagine dying is like time travel, except instead of journeying into the future or seeing Ancient Rome, you go to eternity, see nothing, and never come back.

We have no idea where people go when they die; it’s what makes death so scary and awful. But the sense that they obviously go somewhere—that the person in front of us, situated in the time and space we share, suddenly gets transported to another realm; that their consciousness flickers, then vanishes—also makes death incredibly inconvenient from a logistical standpoint.

The question of whether life continues after death has been at the forefront of many researchers, still, a conclusive answer in not forthcoming. It seems that we just cannot wrap our minds around this timeless area what lies between the condition that distinguishes animals and plants from inorganic matter, including the capacity for growth, reproduction, functional activity, and continual change preceding death and the hereafter.

Creepy as it might sound but many thoughts go out to the idea that, if we want to find out what a NDE is and what it means, our psychological knowledge has to “die”. Meaning, we have to let go of the density objects seem to posses and thus the material version of what we have become to understand as “life” or “reality”. This makes us experiencing the world around as a two point-projection perspective creating for us to “see” an, compared to classical reality, odd, almost holographic, behavior in time and space.

Can we say that death is just an accidental suspension of the biological process known as life? Or do we have to seek the answers in a more spiritual realm?

Seeing a Light and a Tunnel; A Popular Perception of Near-Death-Experience’s

By Maria Anna van Driel, www.nexttruth.com

Prof. Fischer is Distinguished Professor of Philosophy at the University of California, Riverside. To become more familiar with Prof. J. M. Fischer’s books, articles, lectures and research, https://philosophy.ucr.edu/john-m-fischer/

Can we say that death is just an accidental suspension of the biological process known as life? Or do we have to seek the answers in a more spiritual realm?

The question of whether life continues after death has been at the forefront of many researchers, still, a conclusive answer in not forthcoming. It seems that we just cannot wrap our minds around this timeless area what lies between the condition that distinguishes animals and plants from inorganic matter, including the capacity for growth, reproduction, functional activity, and continual change preceding death and the hereafter.

‘The experiences are typically “spiritual” and even “religious,” but specific to the doctrines and practices of a particular religion (or sect within a religion).  But I certainly do not know why the particular details of NDE reports differ so much; it goes against the idea that the NDEr is in contact with a heavenly realm.  Why so many heavenly realms?’ – Prof. John Martin Fischer

Staircase in two-point perspective. Source: Wikipedia

Seeing this “holographic matrix” for what it might really be, seem to speak of you entering a state in where you are opening the doors to you inner self and log into the inherited and stored information bundles what is being thought of being stored in particular cells of your body (cellular memory) and vibrating in a light spectrum what lie just outside the region of our visible spectrum.

‘The Akashic records are thought by some believers in esoteric doctrines to represent everything in the past, present, and future.  They would thus be a representation of the afterlife, but not the afterlife itself.  And these esoteric doctrines (promulgated by Theosophy, among other belief-systems), are not scientifically well-founded or philosophically plausible at all.  Sorry.’ – Prof. John Martin Fischer

Now taking away even more of these mysteries by looking at NDE’s from a neuro-scientific point of view, the question if it is possible for the brain experiencing an extreme moment of stress during death whereby an odd behavior of the synapses is creating a disfunction in information transfer, is rising with me.  If so, it is almost a logical line of thought that this behavior is triggering the Claustrum in releasing a high amount of electricity what in turn is activating the Pineal gland in releasing a strange mixture of chemicals in the midbrain and creating a holographic image based on one’s personal and inherited information stored in your cells.

Prof. Fischer received his undergraduate degree from Stanford University and his Ph.D. from Cornell in 1982. He began his teaching career at Yale University where he taught for almost a decade before joining the faculty at the UC Riverside. www.philosophy.ucr.edu

It is also a realistic thought that, in the moment someone is entering the state of crossing over, the pupils are dilating beyond their own normal capability whereby the optic nerves are trying to absorb and processing an avalanche of UV-light. Not being able to do so, the excess energy is being released in the fluids of the human eye which then could cause certain vibrations within the fluids having an abnormal pattern which, in turn, can create a standing wave in the moment these vibrations bounce off on the back of the lens and reflect on themselves.

Think of bats for instance. As soon as two bats are flying towards each other while sending/transmitting this high pitched sound for navigating and their sound waves are meeting, they will miss their target due to the equalization of these sounds waves what is creating a blind spot. So, can we sate that, in this process, we are looking through a narrow tunnel once the frequencies meet and thus equalize?

Now, I am not skeptical when it comes down to the reality of Near-Death-Experiences and Out of Body Experiences. But pouring the above thoughts into one bowl, it could explain both the intense bright light at the end of the tunnel and the variety of images, or surroundings, people are witnessing while walking the foggy realms, which is being thought of existing in a timeless reality, in the breakdown of a biological process known as life…a last but natural attempt by the brain to supply the body with a high amount of energy in order to survive.

Can we unravel the world of death? Can we switch our lives, or biological existence, on and off without losing our awareness of what is happening around us?

In order to gain a deeper insight to these highly interesting life questions The Next Truth reached out to Professor of Philosophy John Martin Fischer who is teaching at the University of California and who’s main research interests lie in free will, moral responsibility, and both metaphysical and ethical issues pertaining to life and death.

A brief email conversation followed in where Prof. Fischer let us know that, when the readers of The Next Truth had any questions concerning NDE’s and OoBE’s, he might find the time to answer these questions. And so, a small window of opportunity was created for you to ask that particular question you have always wanted to ask an academic trained expert.

The Ancient Nomoli Figurines: ‘Ex Nihilo’ or an Opening Chapter in Humankind

With Bennett J. Vonderheide

Hit the play button in the sidebar “The Next Truth-Online Radio” or download the interview of Bennett Vonderheide as an MP3 file and listen to the message of the mysterious Nomoli figurines which have been unearthed in Africa.

At least thousand years before the medieval scribes start working on them, most myths and legends offered a base for many ancient religions.     Uncountable vellums have being used during the medieval period to write down the translated semi-true stories.  Stories which contain important meaning or symbolism for the culture in which it originates but with ‘mythical qualities’, and have been passed on from person-to-person.    These myths and legends are important today because they help historians piece together the past.

Ex Nihilo? Perhaps…butimagine living 5,000 years ago… before science as we know it today, before publishing and before schools. Humanity needed a way of understanding the world around them specifically the relationship between humankind, a natural world and divinity.

This also with the mystery of Nomoli Gods and the stone figurines what has baffled man since Portuguese sailors first discovered them during the 1400’s in Africa.

The Truth of Myth

With Professor Tok Thompson

‘Mythos’ is the Greek word for story-of-the-people, and ‘logos’ stands for word or speech.    Myth, or Mythology, is the spoken story of a people and has played an integral part in every civilization throughout the world.

Pre-historic cave paintings, etchings in stone, tombs, and monuments all suggest that, long before human beings set down their myths in words, they had already developed a belief structure corresponding to the definition of `myth’.

What is the relation of mythology to religion, to science and to popular culture and… did these ancient and sacred tales really happen?
Our guest this week is located at the moment in rural Alaska…. so, bear with me as I am going to try to set up the connection with Anthropologist Tok Thompson.

Download the interview of Prof. Tok Thompson as an MP3 file and step into the mystical realms of ancient cultures.

Studying mythology is the interpretation of traditional and sacred tales of a culture known as myths or the collection of such stories which deal with various aspects of the human condition.     For instance good and evil… the origin of place-names, animals, cultural values, and traditions.      But also, the meaning of life and death… the afterlife and the gods or a god.

Myths… they express the beliefs and values about these subjects held by a certain culture. So, what one calls “mythology” in the present day, was the religion of the ancient past.   But what it the truth behind these ancient stories?

I am your host Maria Anna van Driel… and you’re listening to “The Next Truth; Where Science and Myth Meet”.

Our guest this week is located at the moment in rural Alaska…. so, bear with me as I am going to try to set up the connection with Anthropologist Tok Thompson, who is an associate professor at the University of Southern California, and speak with him about what the relation of mythology is to religion, to science and to popular culture and… did they really happen?

Download the interview of Dr. Daniel Brown as an MP3 file and prepare yourself to get amazed!

We as human beings are greatly attracted to beauty. And there is nothing more beautiful than the heavenly bodies set above us to see. From the stars, sun, moon, and planets for us to admire, our world has never been short of attraction!

Much of modern Western civilization is derived in one way or another from the ideas of the ancient Egyptians, Greeks and Romans, and this is true in astronomy as well. Our interest in Astronomy can thus be dated back to ancient times.

Our fascination with the celestial bodies has evolved through the centuries and this fascination was so strong it was enough for humans to not only be contented with what can be seen with the naked eye.   From initially looking up and gazing at the stars, man has invented tools like the telescope to magnify and clearly see the yet unseen.

This week we are traveling back to ancient times together with astronomer Dr. Daniel Brown who is an Associate Professor at the Nottingham Trent University.   Join us in and adventurous journey to some of the mysteries of ancient Egypt and take peek at why and maybe how Stonhenge was used.

Near-Death-Experiences; Are They Real?

“Everything seems to be immensely creepy until we know and understand its source. Therefore, can we, with some caution, state that this the reason why we fear death this deeply? Do we fear death due to us neither understanding the source nor the cause of the origin of life?”

Having the privilege to speak briefly with John Martin Fischer, a professor of philosophy at the University of California, Riverside, and the author of “Near-Death Experiences: Understanding Visions of the Afterlife” and “Death, Immortality, and Meaning in Life”, via email, he mentioned to me that not only he is donating one of his intriguing articles to the September edition of The Next Truth… Prof. John M. Fischer also mentioned that he, due to a busy schedule, might answer some of your questions concerning his research on NDE’s.
